Tate History
In 1968, two brothers, Harold Tate, Jr. and Ronnie
Tate, rented a small garage in the town where they grew up. They
managed to borrow just enough from their grandmother, Ezra Payne
Searcy, to buy a small welding machine to make an honest living
for their families. Little did they realize from their hard work
and dedication, the business would grow from that small garage
to a 10-acre industrial facility contracting work in 30 of the
48 continental states, and providing a living not only for their
family, but for many within the community.
At a place where our greatest company asset is
our employees, products are sought not on their simplicity but
their complexity. Our commitment has been key to building lasting
structures across our nation. Incorporated in 1972, Tate Fabricating
Company is a privately owned and operated corporation that has
literally fabricated and installed projects from the east to the
west coast of our nation. For over a decade, Tate Fabricating
Company has been recognized by the American Institute of Steel
Construction for our ability to complete complex steel structures.
Since the inception of this organization, the
founders have recognized the advancements to be achieved through
technology, implementing systems to ensure compliance with the
intent of the project documents. The commitment continues to this
day. Complexities made Simple by Tate.
